Captured Highlights

Exercises with Kelly & Joy was held with the residents during the morning on Friday.

Thanks to volunteers Sandra Hayward, Laurie Andersen, and Janis Kilburg for hosting Manicures held at Mill Valley Care Center (MVCC) and at Sunrise Villa Assisted Living (SVAL) during the morning on Friday.

Thanks to volunteers Kenny Kilburg for hosting Men’s Club with the men on Friday.

Thanks to Ray & Doris Theisen for providing musical entertainment with the tenants at SVAL and the residents at MVCC during the noontime on Friday.

Thanks to Jim Lucy for providing music entertainment during the evening on Friday.

Thanks to volunteer Marylce Tebbe for leading the Rosary prayers for the Catholics on Sunday.

Coffee & Conversation with the tenants were held during the morning on Sunday.

Movie & Popcorn were enjoyed by the tenants at the Villa during the afternoon on Sunday.

Thanks to volunteer Kelby Mueller for providing guitar music entertainment with the tenants at SVAL during the noontime and the residents at MVCC during the afternoon on Sunday.

Thanks to Janet Lieb for providing music entertainment during the evening on Sunday.

“Soft Pretzel” activity was held with the residents and tenants during the afternoon on Monday; thanks to Dietary for their assistance during this pretzel activity.

Thanks to volunteer Kenneth Kilburg for hosting “Kenny’s Visits” at MVCC and SVAL during the morning on Tuesday.

Thanks to the volunteers from the Presbyterian Church (Bellevue, IA) for visiting “one on one” with the residents and tenants during the morning of Tuesday.

Thanks to volunteer Laura McCool for hosting and making available “Knitting with Laura” & “Crocheting” and reminiscing with the residents and tenants during the afternoon on Tuesday.

“Food Forum” was held with Ealana Roling (Dietary Supervisor) introducing new food ideas with food samples, taste testing, and discussions of foods with the tenants at the SVAL during the afternoon on Tuesday.

We send our “very best” wishes to Orva W. as she returns home on Tuesday.

Thanks to volunteer Deacon Robert Wood (St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bellevue, IA) and volunteers:  Ron Koos, Dula Tebbe, Laura & Jr. Steines, Maryetta & Larry Lampe, Merle & Marilyn Kilburg, Alice Kilburg, Kenny Kilburg, Lloyd Kilburg, and Dale Banowetz for assisting the residents/tenants and hosting the Catholic Rosary and Communion Service during the morning on Wednesday.

Thanks to volunteers:  Bea Hansen, Eunice Schladetzky, Gloria Sagers, Donna Felderman, Arlene Keil, and Linda Ries with Benita D. for hosting and assisting “Bingo games with the Lutherans” during the afternoon on Wednesday.  Exercises was available for the residents and tenants during the afternoon on Wednesday

Special thanks to volunteers Sue & Earl Sawvel for hosting “Artwork with Sue and Earl” during the morning on Thursday and helping our resident/tenant students unlock their art talents.  Thanks again to Sue and Earl for sharing their talents, instruction, and quality time with us.  Thanks also to the Bellevue Arts Council for sponsoring this Painting Class

“Grill Cheese” was held with the residents and tenants during the afternoon on Thursday.

Manicures were held with the residents during the afternoon on Thursday.

Games of Choice were available for the individuals at the Villa during the afternoon, Monday – Thursday.

Happy Birthday Greetings this past week to residents Wilma C., Margaret P., and Grace N. this past week!   Thanks to Grace and Family for sharing her birthday cupcakes with us.
